Specialising in serving large, delicious and succulent Barbecued Deep Sea Sand Crabs, which are rich in yellow roe. Main:

Unlike most crab restaurants, Happy Crab avoids the use of heavy sauces such as Chili Crab gravy or Black Pepper gravy in their recipes as they believe that doing so would mask the flavor of the actual crab. Instead, their signature Barbecued Deep Sea Sand Crabs are simply seasoned with sea salt, crushed black pepper, and their special light unagi sauce. Happy Crab’s special cooking technique ensures that the natural flavour of the crab itself is delivered fresh on your plate.

To ensure maximum freshness and quality of their crabs, Happy Crab serves only a limited quantity of crabs per day. It is advisable to make a reservation early or make a call to the restaurant to enquire about the availability of crabs before coming down in order to avoid disappointment.

Signature Dishes:

Apart from their signature Barbecued Deep Sea Sand Crabs, Happy Crab also has several other signature dishes such as their Barbecued Squid, Seafood Hor Fun, Sambal Fried Rice, Bee Hoon, Steamed Salmon Head, Pase Pase, and White Wine Lala (clams) that will definitely have you coming back for more.

Restaurant Experience

Being an open-air kopitiam, customers can unwind at Happy Crab after a day of work. As Happy Crab only operates at night, you can bask in the bustling atmosphere of Kampong Glam as the district comes to life. Although it can get humid, the good food coupled with the experience of dining at a traditional kopitiam as old-school music plays from a cassette player is worth braving the heat for! The staff at Happy Crab are pleasant, friendly and always happy to serve you with a smile. Happy Crab is a cozy and inviting restaurant that makes you feel welcomed and most of all, happy!

Do take note that Happy Crab does not operate on Sundays.
